Here’s how it works:
If mum cat is still feeding her kittens or is pregnant, you will need to temporarily surrender her to us along with the kittens until they are weaned. You will be provided with constant updates on how she is doing.
Your cat and her babies will be examined by one of our partnered vet clinics. The vet will determine whether your cat is healthy enough for surgery. They can be declined if determined to be unfit for surgery for any reason.
Your cat must be safe to handle. We cannot accept any cats that are aggressive towards humans or other animals.
Your cat will be desexed and receive a health check through one of our partnered vet clinics; free of charge to the owner. If the dad cat is owned also, please mention this and a discounted surgery fee can be arranged.
After her surgery, mum cat will be returned to her owner. The kittens will then stay within the rescue where they will be fostered and receive the entirety of their vet work before being put up for adoption.
If you have an unwanted litter who are already weaned, we will take them in as owner surrenders. A time will then be organised for your cat to be taken to one of our partnered vet clinics so that she can be desexed.
If any family or friends want to adopt one of the kittens, they will need to fill out an adoption application and follow the normal process of adoption through FKOM.
Once you fill out your surrender application, someone will be in contact with you within 24 hours.
